Sinjeon Topokki & Bar (Pocha) - Bloor 신전떡볶이

Really delicious and nice space! The vibes are nice and the server was very friendly and helpful. All the food was great, and I was happy with the quantity. It’s not cheap but I think it is reasonably priced for downtown Toronto. I highly recommend the half tuna kimbap!

I love their set menu! I highly recommend you try is. The workers are kind and always check up on you to see if you need anything els. And if you have to get a side I definitely would get their cheese balls.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! We ordered tteokbokki, kimbap, seaweed rolls, and cheese balls, and everything was amazing and incredibly fresh. The flavors were spot-on and really captured the essence of Korean cuisine! The service was quick, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Plus, finding parking was a breeze. Stopped by Sinjeon Topokki & Bar on Bloor Street and let me just say—this place exceeded every expectation. We came for one thing only: topokki. And wow... it was easily the best topokki I’ve ever had. The rice cakes were perfectly chewy, swimming in a rich, spicy, and slightly sweet sauce that was absolutely addictive. We added cheese, and it melted into the sauce like a dream. The balance of flavors was spot-on, and the portion was generous enough to share but still left us wanting just one more bite. The vibe inside is fun and casual, with a welcoming staff and upbeat energy. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. If you’re a fan of Korean street food or just want to experience topokki done right, this is a must-visit in Toronto. Nothing fancy—just straight-up delicious food made with love. The topokki here is the most authentic Korean-style. It’s spicy and delicious. The fritters are also crispy, so they go well together.

My favorite topokki in town! I always order the rose topokki, but they suggested trying the carbonara topokki since it’s their best seller—I’ll try it next time. They also have new menu items with more food to choose from

Just know the kitchen closes at midnight, so don't show up too late.
